Your pups first year is very important.
One Of the Most Important things you will do for your pup during his/her early life is Socialisation.
Puppies that are well socialised grow up to be friendly and happy with people and other animals, and make very successful family pets.
Under socialised pups can grow into adult dogs that may attack because they are afraid.
It is our responsibilty as Dog Owners to educate ourselves and understand the psychological and emotional needs of our dogs.
'Training' your dog commands like sit, lie down roll over teaches good communication skills and can be very rewarding, but a 'trained' dog is not necessarily a balanced dog. Training your dog to perform tricks can be a time consuming exercise which we don't always have and can be difficult to fit in to your busy schedule. . Socialisisation can be done around our lifestyle and doesn't require us to change our daily routine.
Dogs are pack animals that thrive on Companionship, Human and Canine.
Puppy Town is here to socialise your pup so you can be sure he/she grows into a happy and balanced dog. We teach your pup how to play safely in a pack.
Pups are supervised at all times and during rest periods behavioural sound cd is played. Exposing your pup slowly at first to sounds like thunder, fireworks and every day household appliances will prevent any fear developing late on into adulthood.
Safety First:
Pups must be up-to date with all vaccinations including Kennel Cough, be free from ticks and fleas and at least 12 weeks of age. Vaccination Cards must be presented on Consultation.
A Puppy Socialisation Programme will be worked out according to your breed & needs of both you and your pup.
Well-socialized puppies grow up to be wonderful companions, whereas antisocial dogs are difficult, time-consuming, and potentially dangerous.
